SPIRITUAL DIRECTION
Spiritual Direction is a spiritual journey taken with a companion known as a spiritual director wherein both are open to exploring spiritual movements of the soul, the spiritual dimension of daily life, and the unique spiritual questions which often surface at crucial times in our lives creating confusion, curiosity, or anxiety.
Together spirituality, defined as that which describes one’s relationship with the Divine creation we experience, acknowledge, and interact with throughout our lives, is explored.
Prayer forms may be explored as well and may include devotional or verbal prayer, meditation, prayer of the heart, active contemplation, infused contemplation, or lectio divina. There are many other forms of prayer which we have been introduced to or heard of which may be addressed as well. But simply put, prayer is a response to the Divine Presence within us.
As a Jesuit trained spiritual director, I am open to journeying with and addressing spiritual issues within a person’s life, however they manifest themselves.
