A lifetime of empowering people to address life's challenges

Picture

Helping to solve problems, teaching, mentoring, and caring about others and their challenges just naturally led to my chosen field as a psychotherapist and marriage and family therapist. It is my honor and privilege to work with my clients.

My professional career is multifaceted and thus I bring much experience to the therapeutic sessions. Early in my career, my focus was on helping those addicted to drugs and alcohol and their co-dependent families. This soon led to providing marital and family therapy as well as psychodynamic psychotherapy within a substance abuse agency and then a broader based family therapy organization.

For over 30 years I have maintained a private psychotherapy practice. In addition to my private practice, I developed, administered, and provided psychotherapy services through a counseling assistance program within my church community comprised of over 2,800 families from 1995 - 2007.

Additionally, my volunteer work--serving women and families living in domestic violence shelters and homeless shelters - has been some of my most rewarding work.
